Just Dial 911? The Myth of Police Protection
Published in The Freeman: Ideas on Liberty - April 2000
by Richard W. Stevens
Richard Stevens is a lawyer in Washington, D.C., and author of Dial 911 and Die (Mazel Freedom Press, 1999).
Underlying all “gun control” ideology is this one belief.” “Private citizens don’t need firearms because the police will protect them from crime.” That belief is both false and dangerous for two reasons. "

James Madison's words regarding the "ultimate authority" for defending liberty (Federalist No. 46 *1) ring as true today as in 1787, when he penned them." *PUBLIUS*

Constitutional Carry
The right to discreetly bear arms should not require a government-issued permission slip
It's time for "Freedom To Carry" to replace "Right To Carry"
by Alan Korwin, Author
Gun Laws of America
January 27, 2010
