Welcome to the Internet home for the Stillwater Firearms Association.
In an effort to keep our forums clean and spam free, you must register to use the private portion.
All current SFA members may register to use the private portion.
Non members may also register to use the private portion (less the Members Only forum) IF repeat IF you send an email stating who you are, your location, and your interest in the shooting sports and Second Amendment issues.
Simply click on one of the registration links. One is to the left in the "Who's Online" box, and the other is in the "Login" box. Registration is quick and painless and SFA respects your privacy.
This site undergoes frequent revisions and updates. Check back frequently!
When you create your account, you may or may not want to create a user name that does not identify you to anyone who does not know you. If you wish to provide your name to others, that is a personal choice that only you should make.
This site is partly public, and partly private. Remember this if you submit any content, or post topics in any areas on this site.

The Stillwater Firearms Association meets the second Wednesday of each month, 7:30 p.m. at the Fallon Eagle's Lodge. Membership is available to all persons who have a strong and positive interest in the promotion and proper use of firearms. For more info, call 867-2224 or 423-4740. |

What is the SFA?
Incorporated in 1979, the Stillwater Firearms Association is a Nevada non profit organization dedicated to promoting public interest and skill in the use of small guns and firearms; providing proper training and education in the use of firearms; promoting public interest and skill in the sport of target shooting; and promoting healthy and social recreation for the members of the corporation as well as for the public at large.

- Benchrest Rimfire Rifle Target Matches
We also plan to introduce other match formats when possible, such as CMP style matches and rimfire rifle/steel silhouette matches.

Stillwater Firearms Association hosted 32 competitors with 98 entries for a .22 rimfire/steel plate shooting match on July 24, 2010 at the SFA private shooting range near Fallon. Any firearm using .22 Long Rifle caliber ammunition was allowed. Each competitor first engaged racks of steel plates, then the “stopper” plate; the first competitor to fell the stopper target was declared the winner. "

SFA Hosts Handgun/Steel Plate Shooting Match
Stillwater Firearms Association hosted steel plate/handgun shooting matches on July 10 and 11, 2010 at its private shooting range near Fallon. Shooters were classed with others of similar shooting ability making these matches very popular among adults and youth of both genders. Two shooters went to the firing line and upon the Range Officer’s command, commenced fire, first engaging an array of steel plates, then the stopper plate. The first competitor to fell the stopper target was declared the winner. In short order, one shooter emerged as the winner of each match. A “round robin” tournament format was utilized and each shooter was allowed three losses before being eliminated from the competition. First, second, and third place trophies were awarded for each division and class. "

CARRY CONCEALED WEAPON PERMITS
EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2010
At the May 2010 meeting of the Nevada Sheriffs and Chiefs Association (NvSCA),
the members voted to recognize the carry concealed weapon permits of thirteen
states as being valid in Nevada effective July 1, 2010. The states are Alaska,
Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, North
Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, Tennessee and West Virginia."
